This week, Romana and Neo have both been awarded a £400 Research Staff Development Fund.
For Romana, the fund will enable her to attend two significant Turing events: the Causal Research Workshop and the AI UK 2024 conference.
The Causal Research Workshop, set to take place in Leeds on March 21st, will bring together for the first time two Turing Special Interest Groups: Novel Data Linkages and Causal Inference. This unique opportunity promises knowledge exchange and networking, allowing Romana to expand her connections and broaden her technical expertise. In addition, attending AI UK on March 19th – 20th will allow Romana to engage with leading experts in the field of harnessing data science and AI for real-world impact.
As for Neo, the funds will be used to cover attendance to the Data Donation Symposium 2024 in Amsterdam from May 30th – 31st. Earlier this week, Neo had his abstract accepted, and he is now set to present his work on using shopping data to track pain management.
During the symposium, Neo will present his research to other experts in the field, allowing him to showcase some of the work of the Digital Footprints Lab. Additionally, the symposium will provide an opportunity for Neo to network with peers and experts, potentially paving the way for future collaborations and partnerships.
Overall, both Romana and Neo will use the funds to gain new insights, establish connections, and contribute to advancing our lab’s impact in the field of behavioural data science.
