A protocol describing how to link shopping history data into a longitudinal population study has been published on Wellcome Open Research by Anya in collaboration with Andy Boyd. The paper uses Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) as a test example of linking any shopping history data within the study databank. It provides details on the process of data linkage, the participant acceptability and feasibility work that has been done with ALSPAC participants in preparation as well as provides examples of participant information and consent forms to set up the data linkage.
